About us
Who are we?
We are a small family owned nursery and garden business established in 1968 offering plants to retail and wholesale markets from our site in Much Hadham, by mail order and at Flower Shows.
What do we grow?
We have been growers of choice garden plants for over 40 years. We offer a wide range of garden worthy Perennials, Grasses, Trees, Shrubs, Climbers, Rock Plants and a few Ferns and Herbs.
We have a reputation for raising and introducing good new plants from Potentilla ‘Red Ace’ in the 70’s to more recent cultivars of Lavatera, Penstemon, Osteospermum, Primrose, Origanum, Diascia and so on.
What else do we do?
We exhibit at the major flower shows and have won Gold medals for our displays at Chelsea, Hampton Court, Gardeners World LIVE and numerous RHS shows.
We offer a Garden Design and Planting service and also give Lectures to local clubs and societies.
We run gardening and craft workshops & courses.
We offer innovative sundries such as our Hopleys Wavy Spade, Niwaki Tripod Ladders, Showa Gloves etc.
We provide a venue for Charity Concerts, Sculpture and Art Exhibitions, Christmas Markets, Easter Egg hunts and so on.
We have a Tea Room serving outrageously delicious home-made fare.
Where do we do it?
We have a ten acre site in the middle of the beautiful village of Much Hadham in East Hertfordshire. Of this, 5 acres is our display garden (open to the public free of charge), 3 acres is set aside for plant production and 2 acres is for the horses and chickens. This is our home – come and have a look!
