Terms of Business

Prices

We reserve the right to alter prices without notice.
Prices for plants vary according to pot size.

Methods of Payment

Cheques should be made payable to 'Hopleys Plants Ltd'
Visa, Access, Switch, Solo cards accepted (except at shows)
Hopleys Gift Tokens
We do not accept National Garden Gift Tokens

Delivery

We aim to despatch within 28 days of delivery but usually you an expect your order to arrive towards the end of the week following the placement of your order, weather permitting.  Delivery may take longer during the busy Summer show season.

VAT

We are on the Agriculture Flat Rate VAT Scheme which means that no VAT is included in our prices, nor is any chargeable. VAT rated customers may, however, reclaim a 4% addition --- please ask for a VAT receipt.

Substitutes

If the pot size specified for a plant is not available we will substitute with the nearest size available.  If this is smaller then a refund will be made. 

Substitutes of the same Genus may be offered when plants are sold out, but they will not be supplied until confirmation is received.

Guarantees

We guarantee that plants supplied are true to name.

We offer a one year guarantee on all plants (excluding Annuals, Biennials and Christmas Trees) providing that they have not died due to lack of water or general garden care, and that the actual Winter temperature has not been colder than the given hardiness of the plant.

You will be charged for the delivery cost of any replacements.

Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

You may cancel your order at any time prior to despatch for a full refund provided that none of the items have been ordered in or grown specially for you, in which case a charge will be made not exceeding the cost of the item.

You may return within 28 days, at your own expense, any items with which you are unhappy provided that you have informed us in writing within 7 days of receipt that a return will be made.  Goods are to be returned in their original condition.  

Should items be damaged in transit or if there is any other problem, please let us know in writing within 7 days of receipt stating your order number, details of the problem and a photograph showing any damage.  Once we have determined the cause of the problem we may offer to replace or refund the goods.

Complaints

Every effort is made to name the plants correctly and supply them in good condition. Should you have any complaint with any plants supplied, please inform us in writing within 14 days of purchase. After this time, we can accept no responsibility.

Liability for all plants supplied is limited to the purchase price paid for them.
