Product Description

Over the last 30 years we have been using wavy spades at Hopleys and have found them to be indispensable tools.
They are ideal for general purpose digging as they cut through the ground with much less effort than the conventional shape due to all the force being concentrated on 3 points rather than spread across the full width.
They are brilliant for moving shrubs or dividing perennials as the angled edges slice cleanly through roots which damages them less than a conventional spade.
They are made of strong stainless steel with a wooden 'D' shaped handle.
The blade is 140mm (5.5") wide and total height 940mm (37"). Our design optimises the angles for maximum strength and the top of the blade is turned over to prevent damage to your boots. The blade is sharp so mind your toes!
